Why a Capital Campaign?
EOYDC  programs are operated via a solid financial base through endowment & annual contributions.  However, annual funding is insufficient to fund quality programs and provide maintenance and necessary expansion.  As a 30 year old, 30M sq. ft multi-purpose facility, EOYDC needs important maintenance, upgrades and expansion in vital areas of the Center. Therefore, a capital campaign was created to address such issues. The campaign began in 2002 and the goal is to raise at least $1,000,000U.S.

As of 05-01-2009 the following  projects have been completed for a total of $860,000
  • Gymnasium
  • Art Room
  • Kitchen
  • Interior Painting. 
  • 1(15) Passenger Van
  • New roof
  • Roof top deck
  • Utility Room .
  • Exterior Painting
  • VoIP Telephone T1 &Pager system
  • Replacement of Sound Boards
  • Light replacement in gym
  • Rebuild boiler
  • HVAC rebuild of exhaust system
  • Replace mirrors in free weight room
  • Dry Wall replacement in gym foyer and between bathrooms
  • Repair inside of roofing in mechanic higher room
  • Clean and tune up fans
  • External lighting all around building
  • Power wash front of building
  • Roof drain cleaning
  • Remove old heating system with free weight room and seal creating more overhead space
As of 04-30-2009 funding is still needed for the following projects:
  • Seismic Structural Evaluation and Upgrade
  • Doors Upgrades – commercial doors replacement needed due to ground shifting and wear and tear.
  • Mechanical System (Heat and Air Conditioning – Need to replace and install throughout building. Original system outdated (parts no longer available) and to installed on sunny side of building.  Continued use of current system is not cost effective in regards to billing for energy use.
