Created
by Lexus in 1989, the Lexus Champions for Charity series continues to be one
of the longest-running, most successful grassroots golf charity programs in
the country.
Through the program, amateur golfers compete in 195 charity tournaments held
at the finest golf and country clubs throughout the United States. Lexus
supports the local tournaments by making a generous donation to each
associated charity. The players also have the opportunity to win a brand-new
Lexus RX 330.
Each local charity then selects two players from its tournament to enter the
Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship at the famed Pebble Beach
Resorts in Pebble Beach, California. Each two-person team enjoys a Lexus
hospitality package complete with local transportation, meals and gift bags,
while competing for a charity purse of $100,000. This year’s courses
include: Pebble Beach Golf Links, The Links at Spanish Bay and Spyglass Hill
Golf Course.
In the past 15 years, Lexus Champions for Charity has sponsored over 1,900
local golf charities and helped raise over $86 million for charities like
the American Cancer Society®, March of Dimes®, Shriners Hospitals, Big
Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Ronald McDonald House. For more
