Garrett Cole

I didn’t finish high school because I was lazy and I got in trouble with the law. I went to jail at the beginning of my senior year. When I got out of jail, I was placed in another charter school and I felt so lazy that I couldn’t do any work.

East Oakland Youth Development Center has helped me a lot. Ms. Anana has taught me very well on how to study for the GED exam. She has taught me a whole lot about healthy eating and living. She taught me how to go to college and what it’s like. I like the way she interacted with me and my other peers overall.
