Thanks to Southwest Airlines, youth from the EOYDC were able to attend the MLK III Summit on Poverty in America, attend college tours at Howard, Columbia and New York University and meet Representative Jesse L. Jackson Jr., on Capitol Hill.
They also got the chance to hear addresses from author, comedian and civil rights activist Dick Gregory, meet US Senator Jack Kemp, and attend a Regina Belle concert.
