My for the really started in 1998 after my first year at Morehouse when I served as the Director of the Enrichment Program. When I first started working for the Center I really didn’t know what to expect, because the that I was taking on really had a lot of responsibilities. All of my previous jobs were minor low key jobs while I was in high school working at McDonalds and Pizza Hut. While working here I gained numerous skills that I need and use throughout life dealing with the working environment, school, and with my personal life. Such as being more mature, having a professional attitude at work, the role of being a leader and taking on responsibilities and how to work under pressure when dealing with the kids, their parents, or giving presentations. I really appreciate how the Center is willing to help anyone who is willing to step up and take the challenge. With all of the programs and different activities that they offer, you are compelled to make a change for the better.

I knew the Center was big when I was in Atlanta coming home from practice and I was wearing an T-shirt and an older gentleman walked up to me and started asking me questions about the Center. It seems that he remembered when he used to go there and how he wished they had something like it in Atlanta.

I would like to say thank you again Ms. Regina, for giving me the opportunity to work at the for those two summers and to all of the staff for being so helpful all of the time.

Update: Seante graduated from Morehouse with a degree in Health & Physical Education.  His goal is to become a Physical Therapist. He is on his way, he is currently employed at Permanente Hospital.
