Hello my name is Jabari Scott and I am 21 years old. I started coming to the when I was 11 years old. When I first came to the EOYDC I didn’t know much about the Center and what programs that they had to offer. Once I became apart of the EOYDC I joined the and played in the Black League. That league was the best league I had ever played in. it was so exciting. My coaches were Kwame and Floyd. They were a catalyst for me in trying to become a better basketball player and young man.

The EOYDC helped me on and off the court with homework, school, and life. I attended workshops and basketball games. I also met a lot of through the EOYDC such as, Oakland street basketball legend Hook Mitchell, Gary Payton, , etc. To me the EOYDC is very helpful to youth in the Oakland community with all the different programs that they have for youth.
I graduated from Castlemont High School in Oakland in 2004. I attended Job Corp on Treasure Island for graphic and security training. I then attend Merritt College for a year focusing on becoming an entrepreneur. Someday I plan on returning to college and get my a degree in business.

At the present time I am playing semi-pro football for the Richmond War Angles and also starting my own security business. I would like to thank Ms. and the EOYDC staff for everything that they did for me and also for pointing me in the right direction.
