In this essay I am going to talk about why I didn’t graduate with the high school I was last attending and how EOYDC helped me succeed. This essay will explain what I did wrong and how I fixed it and learned from it.

I used to attend Lighthouse Community Charter School up until I got to the 11th grade. That year I didn’t really care about school or anything due to some family problems and started to do badly in school. Then one day I got expelled from school and ended up moving to Fresno, California. I lived there for about 5 months and didn’t go to school. Then I turned 18 that year and for that reason, I couldn’t attend any high school; that’s when I knew I screwed up.

The following year I came back to Oakland and decided to go back to school and do something with my life. That’s when I signed up to get my GED at the EOYDC. They helped me to get my GED in many ways. Ms .Anana pushed me to do my best and that helped me a lot. It helped me see things different not only in school but also in life. Also I got to learn things in every subject in an easier way with the GED practice work. Now I have my GED and I am ready to move on and see what the future brings me.
